Cacilda Nhanisse believes reading is a powerful tool for empowerment and development of curiosity and creativity amongst children. She fights to improve the quality of education with the project “Moçambique a Ler”.

Cacilda Nhanisse has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences of Information and advocates that reading is a powerful tool for empowerment and development of curiosity and creativity amongst children.

Her childhood dream was to become a journalist, and it was in the university she fell in love with social activism. Then, she decided to join her passion and training and contribute to improve the quality of education with the project “Moçambique a Ler”. Besides that, Cacilda is also a specialist in knowledge management in the project ECHO, of USAID, in the health area.

Cacilda believes in the strength of women and their social influence towards generating transformation and she wants to keep betting on education and the development of reading skills in children under the motto #EuqueroverMoçambiqueaLer"
