Kristalina Georgieva
What you can learn from Kristalina Georgieva
To change it, these women seek to spread the seeds of change. How? Their secret is to start out by finding ways to be helpful: Digging into how to boost people's potential, the tools they need, learning how to deal with their vulnerabilities, and most importantly, how to support the dreams that (many times, crushed by lack of confidence) they keep locked.
So, looking at the future as an equation, there are at least three mandatory variables to make the possible value come true. These are the first 3 steps for you to be an agent for change:
1. PrioritizeThere's no easy road towards changing an old system. Being such your neighborhood behaviors or the development of a whole country. But both need to start with Education. And you can help by assuring your generation doesn't trade this key to a better future for anything.
2. Start LocalHuge goals can become a stressful mission. Go one foot at a time. By accomplishing humbler goals, you will get the fuel you need to keep thriving in your cause. Is there someone in your family that you can share your ideas with? Or someone at school you can open eyes to a new reality?
3. Get people together to support your causeAfter you start acting and contributing towards what you believe in, you will meet many people along the way. They can help you, and also join efforts! Build a life that influences and empowers others. Oh, and don't forget to use the power of social media to spread your ideas!
Suddenly, you will look back and your voice has overpassed your home walls, your city landscapes, your country borders - just as the Girl Movers you’ll meet in this conversation.
Be confident about your path and your ideas. The world needs people like you, brave enough to question everything and ready to roll up their sleeves to work on a solution.Kristalina asked us to remind you of this:
"Don't hesitate to get the people like me to be clearly and visibly engaged in this conversation, taking your case forward. I can promise you next time I have a chance to talk to leaders of Africa, I will think of you, and I will make sure I blend in my message what I learned today."
Together we go further.Listen to the episode and understand how your action can help transform your people’s lives, economy, and consequently, society.
