“The sustainable Human Development is directly linked with the Economical Development of a country, I believe the secret for success is in complementarity, nothing is impossible.”

Jéssica Matavele, a woman with princess feet wearing engineer boots, fighting towards making this field more inclusive and believing that the Oil and Gas industry can be environmentally friendly.

Jéssica Matavele is a 24-year-old Mozambican woman, ambitious and a dreamer, passionate about nature and cooking. Her childhood dream of fighting climate change led her to study Engineering and Management of Oil and Gas. Her dream grew and from it the purpose of guaranteeing the access to energy to all Mozambican citizens - a country so rich in energy resources, and inspiring and promoting inclusion in engineering – was born. “Oil and Gas industry can be environmentally friendly”, says Jéssica, and that is her mission. In the future she will be remembered as the young woman who unlocked the Mozambican energy sector, associating the oil and gas industry with renewable energies.
