Ilka Saíde is a gender and mental health activist passionate about sports. She's on the path of changing the world through positive psychology, by being a mentor to girls and supporting women starting social projects in the community.

Ilka is a gender and mental health activist who is passionate about positive psychology and sports. With a Bachelor Degree in Psychology, her focus is on human development and social and gender equality, and for that reason she founded WomenEmpower, a social project aiming developing self-confidence in young women, by using sports and group therapy.

She has experience in leadership training, social entrepreneurship, group and sports therapy team building and project management. Besides that, Ilka is a regular invited speaker in events such as TEDX Lisbon and Maputo and an active member of the groups “Me, You and Depression” and “Friends of the hospital”.

When graduating from the CHANGE Program she became part of the Girl MOVE team. Ilka finds constant inspiration in people and the stories they hold and is always seeking knowledge, that’s why she now is doing a master in Applied Positive Psychology at the University of East London. Ilka never stopped being a mentor to girls and supporting women starting social projects in the community.
